175 years of Graf von Zeppelin, 175 years of company history.
The company Zeppelin made history with its airship. So, for the 175th birthday of Ferdinand, Graf von Zeppelin, an equally major historic event had to be organised that would delight all of today’s successor companies.
A spectacular town festival in three acts.
In order to give Friedrichshafen’s most famous citizen a fitting celebration, Söllner Communications put together a three-part town festival that connected each and every successor company with the founder.
An event park covering an area of around 1,000 square metres was on display as a piece of walk-through technological history. While the party field and stage lured visitors with a varied programme, the successful Guinness World Record attempt – a map with the world’s most congratulations – was the cherry on the cake of this multi-generational event. Our tasks also included producing all accompanying communication of the festival, as well as liaising with the press.
REVOLVERHELD CONCERT & LASER SHOW: LIVE COMMUNICATION CREATES ATMOSPHERE.
With our concept, our event experts ensured that the stage programme at the town festival caused a sensation among all generations. We were responsible for the detailed planning of the event programme and creating a schedule. In addition, Söllner Communications managed the booking of the entire service providers and artists, the stage construction and the event technology. Obtaining permits and on-site coordination were also part of our tasks. The highlight was a spectacular laser show, which our event agency designed, planned and implemented.
THE INTERACTIVE
JUBILEE EXHIBITION WAS THRILLING.
A historical theme park was set up especially for the anniversary, offering a journey through 175 years of airship construction. It showed not only the milestones in the life and work of the Count of Zeppelin, but also the development of his successor companies: Zeppelin’s heirs. The time travel took place in an airship replica that Söllner Communications had designed, visually processed and constructed. We were also responsible for preparing all historical texts, creating and producing all the display boards and obtaining permits.
THE EVENT IS ENTERING THE
GUINNESS BOOK OF RECORDS!
The event field provided an extra-special experience, which awaited guests with a range of stands and activities. Our tasks included planning the stands, technical implementation and the coordination of the event activities. With an oversized map, we were able to collect the world’s largest number of congratulations and thus go down in history as the Guinness World Record winner. The record-breaking idea came from us, as did the implementation and registration of the record attempt.
175 years of Graf von Zeppelin: Visitor magnet and fascination guarantee.
More than 15,000 visitors flocked to the Zeppelin Hangar grounds in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance and experienced the significant influence of Zeppelin’s inventive spirit on subsequent generations of companies. Here, a Guinness World Record attempt enabled us to achieve maximum media presence. Söllner Communications was also able to ensure precise target group activation and sustained enthusiasm with its line-up of renowned guests and an integrated open-air festival.
