Smart kick-off event required for strategy
Messe München embarked on a search for a creative and sustainable way to communicate its 2021 strategy to its employees. The overriding goal was to achieve an emotive and positive establishment of the strategy amongst all employees.

Internal transformation needs strong communication.
In order to faster excitement amongst clients, our event agency relied on multi-stage, multi-channel communication of the strategy over three months. The result was a microsite as a content hub, accompanying print communication media, give-aways and a digital summary.
What connected all activities was a team-building leitmotif that originated from our creative department. In addition, we produced emotive video clips in which the employees were the protagonists and set up a spectacular kick-off event – all in house.


FROM THE VISUAL TO THE LIVE EXPERIENCE.
Söllner Communications was responsible for the conception, planning and implementation of the three-month employee campaign in order to introduce Messe München’s 2021 strategy in an emotive and hard-hitting manner. We were also responsible for all layouts and texts of the accompanying materials. In addition, our event experts created a team-building key visual as a connecting element for all measures. The highlight and conclusion of the campaign was a kick-off event for which we turned the exhibition hall into a football stadium.
EMOTIVE AND CLEAR: PERFECT EMPLOYEE COMMUNICATION.
In order to explain the strategy and make it more tangible, our event agency used eight tailor-made videos to accompany the campaign. These were conceived and implemented within the agency – from the first keystroke in the storyboard to the last cut in postproduction. Söllner Communications was also responsible for the script creation as well as the coordination and realisation of the film shoots.
A KICK-OFF EVENT
AS THE GLORIOUS FINALE.
In order for a kick-off event to become a highlight, several ingredients are needed: a creative event concept, precise planning and to-the-point implementation. Our event professionals redesigned the event premises to match the theme of the campaign and took on the entire event logistics – from technology and catering to admissions. In addition, we came up with the dramaturgical structure of the event, took care of the event management and created the entire event branding.

With the help of these coordinated communication measures, Messe München was able to achieve strong employee identification and clear communication of all complex strategic content. Cross-media networking ensured maximum attention and reach – and at the kick-off event you could genuinely feel the employees’ enthusiasm for the success of the campaign.
